"Science meets Practice" is the motto of the international “Progress in Biogas VI” conference, taking place on the 2nd-4th of September 2024 at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. This event is aimed at biogas experts and biogas plant operators. The deadline for submitting abstracts is February 2nd, 2024. This conference is organized by the IBBK Fachgruppe Biogas GmbH and the Univeristy of Hohenheim.

The international Bioeconomy Congress BW will take place from September 18 to 19, 2024 in the Schwabenlandhalle in Fellbach. It offers an exclusive platform for exchange between researchers, municipalities, innovative companies and interested users from the regional, national and international environment. This year the focus is on translating research results into practice.

The EFRE projects RoKKa (sewage sludge as raw material and climate protection at sewage treatment plants) and KoalAplan (municipal wastewater as a raw material source) invite you to the joint final event. What can future sewage treatment plants contribute to closing material cycles and climate protection? Cutting edge innovation for the implementation of renewable raw materials in the lighthouse project “Faseraufschluss von Naturfasern” (EN: Pulping of Natural Fibers).

On the 9th of October, the Allianz Faserbasierte Werkstoffe Baden-Württemberg (AFBW) e.V. and the Deutsche Institute für Textil- und Faserforschung (DITF) Denkendorf invites guests to their Naturfaserkongress (EN: Natural Fiber Congress). The congress serves as a platform for networking between academics, innovative entrepreneurs, and interested users.

Find out how such insect biorefineries can work at the After Work Event "InBiRa: Fats and proteins from organic waste". The After Work Event is organized jointly by the "Urban and Industrial Biorefineries Initiative" of Umwelttechnik BW GmbH and the Biowaste Competence Center of the Baden-Württemberg State Agency for the Environment at the Fraunhofer IGB.

The Technikum Laubholz GmbH invites you to the “Laubholztagen 2024 – Konferenz der grünen Zukunft“ (EN: Hardwood Days 2024 – Conference for a Green Future), which will be held in Göppingen’s Stadthalle. The focus is on the use of hardwood-based fibers and the wood supply chain, including perspectives on innovative manufacturing technologies for wood-based products. This forum will offer a wide array of presentations from experts, discussions, and the opportunity to network and converse with professionals in the field.

The ReGrow Symposium - Natural Resources in Digital Construction brings local and international experts together from the realms of academia and industry. They will be provided with a platform discuss the current challenges, chances, material utilizations of natural materials like fibers, wood, and other materials in architecture and robotics-assisted components. This event will present innovative production methods and offers insight into digital, circular building. It also serves to represent a high point in the two year Stuttgart-based research project ReGrow, which was funded by the state government, as well as five faculty members at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) - Digital Design & Fabrication (DDF), design of structures  (dos), Bauphysik & Technischer Ausbau (fbta), Lichttechnisches Institut (LTI) und Institut für Industriebetriebslehre und Industrielle Produktion (IIP), along with industry partners from FibR GmbH.

The Symposium will take place on the 29th of September, 2023, at the Bundesgartenschau Mannheim (BUGA 2023).

On the 24th of May, 2023, the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH invites you to take part in the the Fachforum & IMMO TALK on the topic of “Bioökonomie beim Bauen – Pflanzenbasierte Fasern im Lebenszyklus von Gebäuden“ (EN: Building Bioökonomie – Plant-based Fibers in Building Lifecycles) in the Skylounge of weisenburger projekt GmbH in Karlsruhe. The schedule is full of fascinating keynote speeches, podium discussions, and project presentations, as well as opportunities for casual exchanges and networking.

The Laubholztage offer 2 days packed full of: congenial conversation, technical talks, interesting presentations, information regarding new developments, forecasts into the future of hardwood usage, opportunities in wood value chains, new paths to the biological transformation of wood manufacturing, and the exciting prospects of the forest- and wood-based bioeconomy.
 
Day 1 is all about future forests and will be opened by Peter Hauk MdL, while Day 2 focuses on future wood.

The Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector will initiate and co-sponsor the development of a bioeconomy exhibition on the occasion of Bundesgartenschau 2023.

The permanent exhibit will illustrate real-world examples, so that visitors will become more familiar with what solutions the bioeconomy can provide for everyday problems. The exhibit affords BUGA visitors the opportunity to peek into a sustainable future.

The industry event for architects, engineers, and technical planners interested in wood-based construction will take place on the 19th of October, 2023. Organized by proHolz Baden-Württemberg and Biberach University of Applied Sciences, offers a variety of expert speakers and insights into the newest innovations in wood-based construction. A trade show will complement the symposium, which will be held in the Filderhalle in Leinfelden-Echterdingen for the second time.

It’s been three years since the last Landwirtschaftliche Hauptfest (LWH), which took place in 2018.
 
The 101st LWH’s motto is “Landwirtschaft erLEBEN” (EN: Experience Agriculture) and is hosted at the Canstatter Wasen between Sunday, the 25th of September and Monday, the 3rd of October. As always, expect to encounter animals, tech, nature, and nutrition.

The tenth annual Ressourceneffizienz- und Kreislaufwirtschaftskongress Baden-Württemberg (Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy Conference) will take place on the 19th and 20th of October at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre campus. Innovative edge for the use of renewable raw materials through the lighthouse project "Fibre Extraction of Natural Fibres“

The Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection’s 6th Bioeconomy Day will take place on Thursday, November 18th 2021.
 
At the 6th Bioeconomy Day, guests will have the opportunity to learn about Baden-Württemberg’s new developments in the realm of bioeconomy. The morning schedule consists of presentations covering current bioeconomy projects. In the afternoon, Minister Peter Hauk MdL will personally recognize the winner of the Innovationspreises Bioökonomie 2021 (Bioeconomy Innovation Award) on location.

Under the motto “Science meets Practice,” scientists and practitioners will once again present their groundbreaking results, examples of best practices, and practical experience.

This conference series has been a perfect platform for an international knowledge exchange on the topic biogas since 2007. It is organized by the University of Hohenheim and the network IBBK Biogas GmbH.
