Symposium "ReGrow - Natural Resources in Digital Construction"

The ReGrow Symposium - Natural Resources in Digital Construction brings local and international experts together from the realms of academia and industry. They will be provided with a platform discuss the current challenges, chances, material utilizations of natural materials like fibers, wood, and other materials in architecture and robotics-assisted components. This event will present innovative production methods and offers insight into digital, circular building. It also serves to represent a high point in the two year Stuttgart-based research project ReGrow, which was funded by the state government, as well as five faculty members at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) - Digital Design & Fabrication (DDF), design of structures  (dos), Bauphysik & Technischer Ausbau (fbta), Lichttechnisches Institut (LTI) und Institut für Industriebetriebslehre und Industrielle Produktion (IIP), along with industry partners from FibR GmbH.

The Symposium will take place on the 29th of September, 2023, at the Bundesgartenschau Mannheim (BUGA 2023).

On the 24th of May, 2023, the TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe GmbH invites you to take part in the the Fachforum & IMMO TALK on the topic of “Bioökonomie beim Bauen – Pflanzenbasierte Fasern im Lebenszyklus von Gebäuden“ (EN: Building Bioökonomie – Plant-based Fibers in Building Lifecycles) in the Skylounge of weisenburger projekt GmbH in Karlsruhe. The schedule is full of fascinating keynote speeches, podium discussions, and project presentations, as well as opportunities for casual exchanges and networking.

Laubholztage 2023 in Göppingen

The Laubholztage offer 2 days packed full of: congenial conversation, technical talks, interesting presentations, information regarding new developments, forecasts into the future of hardwood usage, opportunities in wood value chains, new paths to the biological transformation of wood manufacturing, and the exciting prospects of the forest- and wood-based bioeconomy.
 
Day 1 is all about future forests and will be opened by Peter Hauk MdL, while Day 2 focuses on future wood.

Bundesgartenschau 2023 in Mannheim

The Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector will initiate and co-sponsor the development of a bioeconomy exhibition on the occasion of Bundesgartenschau 2023.

The permanent exhibit will illustrate real-world examples, so that visitors will become more familiar with what solutions the bioeconomy can provide for everyday problems. The exhibit affords BUGA visitors the opportunity to peek into a sustainable future.

Fachtagung Holzbau Baden-Württemberg in Leinfelden-Echterdingen

(EN: 45th Wood Construction Symposium in Leinfelden-Echterdingen)

The industry event for architects, engineers, and technical planners interested in wood-based construction will take place on the 19th of October, 2023. Organized by proHolz Baden-Württemberg and Biberach University of Applied Sciences, offers a variety of expert speakers and insights into the newest innovations in wood-based construction. A trade show will complement the symposium, which will be held in the Filderhalle in Leinfelden-Echterdingen for the second time.
